A festival that will take place despite the Covid-19 health crisis

It’s been official for a few weeks now: the 43rd edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival will take place from September 8 to 13, 2020.

It will bring together yachting professionals, who have been deprived of numerous shows this year, notably the Monaco Yacht Show.
More than 400 boats are also expected, spread over the two Cannes ports: motor boats will be visible in the Old Port while sailing boats will meet in the Port Pierre Canto.

“This year’s watchword is adaptation. We have adapted the festival’s format and its offer to best meet the needs of our exhibitors in terms of space and budget constraints, as well as the new health standards,” explains Sylvie Ernoult, show’s manager.

Indeed, from a sanitary point of view, the 2020 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival intends to comply with the actual standards: mandatory masks, distribution of hydroalcoholic hand gel, constant cleaning of public spaces, respect of social distancing measures, monitoring of visitor flow and access to the entrances.

This is reassuring not only for the players in our industry, but also for the visitors, who numbered 54,000 at the 2019 edition.

Some very nice vessels will be presented this year

Mangusta Oceano 43

A true floating villa, the Mangusta Oceano 43 is a boat that is both surprising and practical. Surprising thanks to its equipment, in particular its pool with waterfall, its jacuzzi that can accommodate up to 7 people, its stern deck composed of 3 platforms or the large spaces offered on its main decks. Practical thanks to its performance (cruising speed of 11 knots, transatlantic range of nearly 5,000 miles) but also thanks to its versatility and to the technology on board.

Benetti Oasis

40 metres long, the Benetti Oasis is a place for relaxation, and its design brings its guests closer to the sea. Indeed, the Italian shipyard defines its approach as a desire to offer passengers the opportunity of becoming one with the sea. The beach club as well the layout of the decks reveal that the goal was clearly achieved.

Maiora 35 Exuma

Clean exterior lines combined with interior/exterior fittings designed to appeal to families, the Maiora 35 Exuma is a boat that is unique, distinguished and surprising. Indeed, its straight bow, open stern and propulsion system are just some of the innovations of this avant-garde project.

San Lorenzo SL102Asymmetric

Asymmetrical like nature, like the human body, like a house.
With the aim of optimizing the use of interior spaces as well as the access to the outside, the SL102Asymmetric rethinks the well-established layout of yachts, thanks to this asymmetrical configuration that was never tried before, and which offers an additional 10 square meters of useful surface area in comparison to boats of the same length.

Gunboat 68

Fast, stylish and packed with technology, the Gunboat 68 has been the Gunboat masterpiece since its launch in 2002. Incorporating the best of what has been done in sailing so far and produced in collaboration with experienced manufacturers and renowned industrial partners, the Gunboat 68 symbolises a radical change in the evolution of the brand.
